Cy and Medusa

Cy was the only one at his new school with one eye.
Cy是他新学校唯一一只一只眼睛
One day, he bumped into Mark.
有一天,他碰到了马克.
“Can’t you see, One Eye?”
“你看不出来吗, “
Mark asked.
马克问.
Just then, Cy saw Medusa.
刚才 席见美杜莎.
Medusa could turn people to stone when they looked her in the eye.
美杜莎可以把人变成石头 当他们看着她的眼睛。
This gave Cy an idea.

“I see something cool over there,” Cy said to Mark.
Cy对Mark说,
He pointed to Medusa.
他指着美杜莎.
Mark looked Medusa in the eye.
马克看着美杜莎的眼睛。
At once, he turned to stone.
一时倒地作石头相.
Then Cy looked Medusa in the eye by mistake.
然后Cy误看了美杜莎的眼睛.
To his surprise, he did not turn to stone.
令人惊讶的是,他没有变成石头。
Mark was taken to the nurse to be turned back to normal.
马克被带去护士那里,以恢复正常.
Medusa ran away in tears.
美杜莎流了泪就跑了
Cy found her outside.
Cy在外面发现了她
“Go away, or you will turn to stone,” Medusa said.
美杜莎说,“走开,否则你会变成石头。”
“You looked right at me, and I’m fine,” Cy said.
Cy说,
“Maybe it’s my one eye,” he added.
「也许这是我的一眼,
Medusa looked at Cy, and her face lit up.
美杜莎看着Cy,她的脸亮了.
“I can’t look at anybody else,” she said.
“我不能看别人,
“I don’t look at people anyway,” Cy said.
Cy说,
“I don’t see well, but I don’t want to wear this silly monocle,” he added.
“我看不太清楚,
Cy pulled the monocle from his pocket and held it up to his face.
Cy从口袋取出单核并把它抬到他脸上.
“Can I see it?”
“我能看看吗? “
Medusa asked.
美杜莎问.
“Sure,” Cy said.
“当然,”Cy说。
The bell rang.
钟声响起.
“Time for shop class,” Medusa said.
美杜莎说,
That gave Cy an idea.
这给了Cy一个想法。
In shop class, Cy worked on a visor for Medusa.
在商店课上,Cy为美杜莎做了一副面纱.
When the visor was done, Medusa tested it.
当面罩完成后,美杜莎进行了测试.
There were mirrors inside.
里面有镜子
They made it so she did not make direct eye contact with anybody.
他们做到了,所以她没有 与任何人直接的眼睛接触。
When she used it, no one turned to stone.
当她使用时,没有人转而用石头.
“You did it!”
“你做到了! “
Medusa said.
美杜莎说。
“I have been working on your monocle,” she added as she handed it to Cy.
“我一直在研究你的一角,”她在交给Cy时补充说,
Now, the monocle had a cool leather strap.
现在,单核有一个很酷的皮带。
“Thanks!
“谢谢!
This I would wear,” Cy said.
Cy说,
“Thanks for your help,” Medusa said.
“谢谢你的帮助,”美杜莎说。
After class, Medusa and Cy headed out together.
课后,美杜莎和西一起出走.
Neither of them stared at the ground.
