Long ago there lived a poor stonecutter in Japan.

很久以前,日本有个可怜的石匠

Every day, he cut stone from a mountain.

每日从一山取出石.

The stonecutter was proud of his work.

石匠以他的工作为荣.

He was very happy.

他很开心

One day, he saw a merchant.

一日见一商.

The merchant had many beautiful things.

那个商人有很多美丽的东西

The stonecutter was sad.

石匠伤心.

He did not have any beautiful things.

他没有任何美丽的东西。

“I wish I were a merchant,” he whispered.

他低声说:“我希望我是商人。”

The spirit of the mountain heard him.

山之灵也闻之.

Poof!

猪!

He became a merchant.

后出为商.

A month went by.

一个月过去了。

One day, he saw the emperor.

一日相见帝.

The emperor had beautiful clothes.

皇帝有美丽的衣服。

The stonecutter was sad.

石匠伤心.

He did not have such beautiful clothes.

他没有这么漂亮的衣服。

“I wish I were the emperor,” he said.

他说:“我希望我是皇帝。”

The spirit of the mountain heard him.

山之灵也闻之.

Poof!

猪!

He became the emperor.

他成为了皇帝.

Two months went by.

两个月过去了。

One day, he saw the Sun shining brightly.

有一天,他看到了太阳闪耀的光芒.

Again, the stonecutter was sad.

复次地取石者相生悲 sad.

The Sun was stronger than he was.

太阳比他强壮

“I wish I were the Sun,” he cried.

“我希望我是太阳,”他哭了。

Poof!

猪!

He became the Sun.

他成为了太阳。

Then wind blew a cloud over the Sun.

后被风吹出一云过太阳.

The stonecutter grew angry.

石匠渐发发怒.

“I want to be the wind,” he yelled.

“我想成为风,”他大叫。

Poof!

猪!

The stonecutter became the wind, but he was still angry.

石克已成出风相去而还发怒.

He could not blow the mountain around.

他不能把山炸开

“I want to be a mountain!”

“我想成为一座山!”

he screamed.

他尖叫着。

Poof!

猪!

He became a mountain.

他变成了一座山。

The next day, he felt something cut into his side.

第二天,他感觉到有东西切入他身边.

It was a stonecutter.

是个石匠

“I want to be a stonecutter again,” he wept.

“我想再次成为一名石匠”,他哭了。

Poof!

猪!

He became a stonecutter.

他成了一个石匠。

He was very happy.

他很开心
